My practice engages with themes surrounding personal and gender identity, confusion, longing, nostalgia, the grieving process, and memory. I engage in mediums such as; collage, painting, mold making/casting, printmaking, installation, and sculpture work. By using labor-intensive ways of making, I can achieve products that are adaptations of trains of thought that then exist physically through textures and visuals. My artworks/collages are directly connected to how I process thoughts and feelings internally, which gives them the “overstimulation” visual theme. They resemble “I Spy” or “Where’s Waldo?” media because of the easter egg moments they have hidden within every layer of each collage.
