Tin and nail collage
32 x 32 in.
2018
Most of my artwork is fabricated from found or recycled objects. One of my favorite mediums to work with is repurposed tin.
Using a tin snip, (like a heavy-duty scissors) I cut apart tin boxes and canisters that once held candy, cookies, fruitcake, tea etc. into smaller pieces. These pieces are fastened onto plywood panels with small nails.
These tin-and-nail collages retain the original colors, images and typography printed on the repurposed tin object.
