As a collage artist, my work is an exploration of the beauty and chaos that can be found in the everyday. My process is rooted in the act of collecting, from scavenging for materials at estate sales and thrift stores, to trawling through my own personal archives of ephemera. I am particularly drawn to materials with origins pre-1980. I crave the patina and stains of aged pages, the step back from hyper high resolution, the signs of wear. My collages are purely analog creations, responding to the tactile nature of the materials. I don’t shy away from raw torn edges, visible tape, or deteriorating paper.

My collages explore the complexities of remaining hopeful in a crumbling world while not taking themselves too seriously. Working within the space between playfulness and melancholy, I hope to create work that is both personal and universal, that resonates with the viewer, allowing them to create their own meaning.
